General review

I heard from an Italian living in Singapore that there is an Italian restaurant with a great reputation, so I went to this restaurant.

The restaurant is run by a couple, an Italian (presumably) husband and a Singaporean (presumably) wife. Therefore, the restaurant is not very large, but it is very comfortable.

Also, the customer service was friendly but very hospitable and very pleasant.

Above all, the food is very tasty, like authentic Italian home cooking.

I think it is a very good restaurant that has three great things going for it: atmosphere, customer service, and food 😀 It is a great restaurant that I recommend for great satisfaction!

Atmosphere

As the name suggests, the store is located a short distance from the riverfront on Robertson Key to Rodyk St.

This is the exterior of the restaurant. The indirect lighting gives the restaurant a gentle atmosphere.

The capacity of the restaurant is about 20 people or less. Here is a view of the interior of the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant, the walls are decorated with photos from various countries. Apparently, his wife has printed and displayed photos taken on her travels. She said she took all of them with her iPhone. There are also photos of Japan. The handmade feeling is very nice 😀.

The opposite side of the restaurant looks like this. The kitchen is at the back.

It looks like they also accept private events and other private rentals 😀.

Food

Menu

Here is the menu list.

Meals are available in the MAIN, STARTERS, PASTA, and BREADS genres. In addition to these, there are also some recommendations at the time that are not on the menu, such as OYSTER and CHICKEN.

You can get very detailed information from the restaurant about special menus, recommended dishes, and how much food is available 😀.

Let’s eat

I started with beer. The owner recommended Menabrea Amber, a beer with a slightly fruity flavor. It is a reddish beer with a sour taste and a refreshing flavor that even those who do not like beer can enjoy.

And from STARTER, I chose Burrata & Prosciutto. This was also highly recommended by the owner.

This dish is very beautifully presented. Inside the ham roll is a whole fresh cheese called burrata, which originated in Italy. When this cheese is wrapped with prosciutto, it is the perfect combination. Thank you!

From MAIN, we ordered a fish dish called Pesce de Forno. The owner recommended this dish to us as one of the restaurant’s best dishes 😀.

It will be an oven-baked seabass dish. It looks very nice from the outside! As expected from authentic Italian cuisine 😀 The sea bass is very tender and melts in your mouth. This dish goes perfectly with white wine.

Normally, I would have paid the bill around here, but I was so comfortable that I even ordered pasta to finish off the meal. Here it is!

Seafood Tagliolini is a seafood pasta. The black pasta is made from squid ink. It is very garlicky with an ario aurio flavor that is very appetizing. It is a very satisfying dish with plenty of scallops and sea bass 😀.

It was too cozy and I ate too much,..! Thank you for the food!

Price

  • Menabrea Amber $12
  • Burrata & Prosciutto $29
  • Pesce de Forno. $30
  • Seafood Tangliolini $30
  • White wine (glass) $16

Each dish is quite large, so I think the size is just right for several people to share. Considering this, I think you can enjoy authentic Italian food at a fairly reasonable price.

Summary

I think it is a very nice Italian restaurant that has the trifecta of atmosphere, customer service, and food.

It is a very homey and cozy restaurant that can be used for various purposes, such as family, friends, and dates.

Now I know why it is so well received by Italians living in Singapore. I highly recommend everyone to visit Rovertson Quay when you dine there 😀.

If you want to eat Italian food, this is definitely a great restaurant!
