Pros/Cons

  • Enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine
  • Good cost performance considering the volume of food.
  • Recommended for beginners of Middle Eastern cuisine as you can try various menus at PLATTER at once!
  • Some dishes may have likes and dislikes.
  • At the time of online reservation, there was no designation of indoor or outdoor seating and I was seated outdoors.

Atmosphere

The restaurant has a very casual atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating is counter and table, while outdoor seating is table-centered layout.

Outdoor seating is recommended for large groups. I think it is fun to share the food and PLATTER with everyone.

The restaurant has counter seating. This is recommended for two people. At the time of the online reservation, there was no specification of indoor or outdoor seating, so if you prefer indoor seating, it would be better to call in advance to let them know.

Food

Menu

The restaurant’s best choice is the “ARTICHOKE EXPERIENCE PLATTER”, which is like a course meal consisting of MEZZE, KEBAB and SWEET. This is like a course meal that includes mezze, kebab, and sweet. mezze is an appetizer that is served in countries around the Mediterranean Sea. A number of small dishes are served.

KEBAB is in the form of one dish per person from the menu. If you are coming to Artichoke for the first time, we recommend that you order this for now so that you can eat all of the restaurant’s recommendations.

There is also a wide variety of drinks on the menu. When visiting the Middle East, the number of restaurants that serve alcoholic beverages is quite limited, so it is very nice to be able to easily combine alcoholic beverages and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Eating

ARTICHOKE EXPERIENCE PLATTER $69

This is the ARTICHOKE EXPERIENCE PLATTER I ordered this time. The small plate on the right is the MEZZE and the plate on the left is the KEBAB. 2-4 people can share the MEZZE. The KEBAB is ordered by one person and each skewer is quite large. Considering the volume, I think $69 is quite reasonable.

MEZZE

MEZZE has “MISO HUMMUS” at the very front, “BROCCOLI, THINA, PINE NUTS” at the left front, “HARISSA EGGPLANT” at the right front, “ROASTED RED PEPPER LABNEH” at the center, and “BEET MUSABAHA, PINE NUTS” at the left back. HARISSA EGGPLANT”, “ROASTED RED PEPPER LABNEH” in the center, “BEET MUSABAHA, 3-NUT DUKKA”, “BAHARA ROASTED CARROTS” on the far right, and “ALMOND TABBOULEH” at the very back.

LENTIL & BULGUR SOUP” and “TURKISH BREAD” will be served on the plate. All of them are very tasty, and the turkish bread is excellent when served with them. Personally, I liked the broccoli the best. The yogurt flavored sauce was really tasty.

The restaurant staff carefully explained each item.

KEBAB

This time, I chose “ARTICHOKE HONEY FRIED CHICKEN”. The clerk told me that the “Fried Chicken”, “Salmon” and “Lamb” were popular. The clerk said that “Fried Chicken,” “Salmon,” and “Lamb” were popular. However, “SALMON” and “LAMB” cost +$5.

As the menu name suggests, it was a very unique Fried Chicken with a honey flavor. And the volume of each skewer is quite large, so it is very satisfying. The sauce makes the fatty taste a little lighter, so it is ideal for changing the taste in the middle of the meal.

I personally didn’t take to the veggies that were under this. I wonder what they were.

SWEET

Two desserts are also available. The one on the right is “HONEYED GUAVA ICE CREAM” and the one on the left is “COLD MILK BAKLAVA”. Since the dish was quite seasoned, this dessert was a very nice palate cleanser. In addition to this, “TURKISH TEA” is also available.

Access

The closest MRT station is Bugis, which is about an 8-minute walk from Exit C.

Summary

I was able to find a very good Middle Eastern restaurant. I think it is a valuable restaurant because I did not have a chance to eat good Middle Eastern food in Singapore.

If you are going for the first time, please order the PLATTER introduced here. You can enjoy various kinds of Middle Eastern food efficiently. I recommend that you go with a large group of family or friends and enjoy your meal while sharing.

The food is also very beautiful to look at, so it will definitely look good.

If you want to eat Middle Eastern food, this is a great restaurant that you can never go wrong with. Please check it out everyone.
