Appearance

This is the exterior of the restaurant. The store is located on the ground floor of HDB, about a 5-minute walk from Redhill MRT station.

I have used the restaurant for both lunch and dinner, and when I visited the other day for dinner, there was a waiting line like this one. It was around 8pm on a Sunday. However, the turnover was relatively fast and we were able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes.

For lunch, customers start pouring in as soon as the restaurant opens, and the place fills up quickly. Since dishes are prepared in order, it can take quite a while to serve food if you enter when the restaurant opens.

Interior

Here is a view of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is not very spacious, with a capacity of about 20 people. The sign behind the cashier counter is a Craft Beer Tap Menu with about 5 to 6 different kinds of beers on tap. The beers available are always changing, so you will never get bored no matter how many times you visit.

Abundance also has plenty of outdoor seating, with about 10 seats available. Personally, I like to drink Craft Beer at this outdoor seating.

Here is the menu list. As you can see in the illustration next to the name of the restaurant, the restaurant’s specialty is buns. Buns are a Taiwanese specialty, just like a hamburger, with various ingredients such as meat and fish sandwiched between buns. In addition, you can enjoy Noodle, Rice, Side menu, and various other dishes. Most of the menu items are priced at around $10, making it a very cost-effective option.

In the past, customers used to go to the cash register and order verbally, but recently a QR ordering system has been introduced. By reading the QR on the table, you can complete the ordering and payment process on your smartphone. It is very convenient.

Eating

Now I would like to introduce the dishes we actually ordered. Since I have already been to this restaurant many times, I will introduce all the dishes that I have ordered.

RED HOT CHILLI DUMPLINGS $9.9

First of all, I would like to introduce you to the dumplings that I always order when I visit Abundance. There are two types of dumplings: spicy CHILLI and non-spicy DARK Souce. The price is the same for both. These dumplings are just superb. The pork and prawns inside are very plump and chewy. This dumpling is the best menu item at Abundance.

RED HOT CHILLI DUMPLINGS NOODLE $9.9

This is a noodle dish topped with the CHILLI DUMPLINGS introduced earlier. The dumplings are as I mentioned earlier, but the noodles are also very tasty. The noodles are thick and chewy like sword noodles. The thick noodles are then firmly intertwined with the chili sauce, creating an exquisite spiciness and flavor that spreads in your mouth. It looks very simple, but it is a highly recommended dish.

BACON CABBAGE $9.9

This is another one of my favorite dishes. It is made by stir-frying cabbage, bacon, and garlic and finished with a hot oil-like sauce. The cabbage and bacon have a very good garlic flavor that makes it a perfect snack. The bacon is crispy and very tasty, and I could go on and on with it. We highly recommend this menu item for beer drinkers.

PRAWN FRIED RICE $10.9

I often order fried rice when I visit for lunch. This is the PRAWN FRIED RICE. It is an excellent fried rice with a very large shrimp in it. Like the dumplings, the prawns are very plump, chewy, and very satisfying. The fried rice itself is rather moist and gently seasoned. The amount of fried rice itself is rather moist and gently flavored, so you can eat it easily.

XO FRIED RICE $11.9

This fried rice is seasoned with XO shoyu. While other fried rice dishes are relatively lightly seasoned, XO Fried Rice is characterized by its strong, seafood- and garlic-flavored flavor. The dried shrimp on the top of the fried rice is a perfect complement to the seafood flavors, giving the dish a premium XO shoyu taste. I am sure there are different tastes, but personally, I like well-seasoned dishes, so I would recommend this one in particular among the many dishes on the Fried Rice menu.

BREWERKZ BOHEMIAN PILSNER PINT $10

The Tap menu changes daily, so you will never get bored even if you come back again and again. The combination of delicious Taiwanese food and Singaporean craft beers is the best. It is hard to find a place where you can enjoy this combination at such a high quality.

Get off at Redhill MRT station, go through the ticket gate and take the exit on the right.

Summary

Without a doubt, this is a great restaurant that combines both taste and cost performance, the No. 1 in Red Hill. For the first time, I have given it a five-star recommendation. The dumplings, noodles, and fried rice are all outstandingly delicious. And it is reasonably priced.

Red Hill is a place that is not often visited by people who do not live here, but I think it is fun to visit for Abundance. It is a very popular restaurant, so it is best to make a reservation before visiting.
