General Review

You can enjoy delicious Italian food in a very casual atmosphere. The pizzas are especially delicious because they are baked directly in the restaurant’s oven.

There were some negative factors in terms of service, such as the time it took to serve the food and the fact that they forgot to serve the drinks, so I have given this restaurant a two-star rating!

Why don’t you all go there once 😄

Atmosphere

The restaurant is located along Tanjong Pagar Rd. in an area with many restaurants and very close to Maxwell food center.

This is the exterior of the restaurant.

As is typical of a Japanese-affiliated restaurant, the menu is also written in Japanese. In addition to indoor seating, there is also plenty of outdoor seating. The capacity of the restaurant seems to be quite large.

The interior of the restaurant looks like this. There are both table and counter seating available, and it appears that there is also seating on the second floor. From the counter seats, you can see chef making pizza.

This is the oven for baking pizza. It is set up large in front of the counter as if to ask me to look at the oven baking. It is very authentic. Once you see this, you can’t help but order a pizza 😄

Food

Menu

Orders are placed by scanning the QR code with a smartphone. Of course, you can also order verbally to the waiter. Personally, I appreciate the convenience of this ordering method. It eliminates the time it takes to call for a waiter but not being able to catch him or her 😏

Eating

Here is the first item I ordered. Luka Insalata” is a green salad.

It is filled with very colorful vegetables. The vinegar-flavored dressing is delicious. The portion is quite large, so it is best to share with two or three people.

And here is what I ordered next. “CALAMARI”.

This is fried squid in the Italian style. It is also quite hearty, but the garlic flavor makes it easy to eat.

And the pizza I ordered for main course was the “Diavola” 🍕.

Pizza with mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, salami and chili.

This pizza is very good! The dough is very savory, as you would expect from an oven-baked pizza. The dough is very savory, and the stickiness is still there, so it’s very satisfying. The slightly spicy flavor was also a big hit for me. I definitely recommend ordering this pizza when you come to Luka’s 😄

However, it takes quite a while for the pizza to be served, probably because it is made in an oven. So it is better to order from the beginning so that it will come out at just the right time.

Price

  • Luka Insalata $15
  • Calamari $22
  • Diavola $30

I think the pricing is standard Italian. However, each dish is quite large, so if you plan to share it, I think you can get it at a very reasonable price 😄

Summary

Luka has a rather good reputation among Japanese living in Singapore, and I found out why when I went there this time 😄.

With authentic oven-baked pizza and a casual atmosphere, it is a very user-friendly and delicious Italian dining experience.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal with your family or a group of friends who know each other well.

It is a great restaurant to go to and highly recommended!
