A fascinating craft beer specialty hidden in Tanjong Pagar【#12 Singapore Recommended Bar “Ang Mo Liang Teh”】

This time, I would like to introduce a craft beer specialty in Tanjong Pagar, which can be found by heading south along Shenton Way. It suddenly appears on a street where there are not many restaurants.

It’s a very nice place, so please read the review all the way through!

General Review

The store itself is relatively small, but offers a large selection of craft beers.

All of the beer can designs are so cool, you don’t even have to be a beer lover to want to try them 😊

There are not so many reviews on Google, so it can be said that this is a hidden beer bar that is not well-known yet. Finding these hidden gems is one of the best parts of a gourmet tour.

The food menu is not very large, so I think it is better to use it as a place to go for a beer on a whim.

Whether you are a beer lover or not, this is a good restaurant that I highly recommend you try!

Atmosphere

Walking down Shenton Way in Tanjong Pagar, you will suddenly see stores with glowing neon lights.

It is often difficult to enter such stores with Chinese-style signs, but as you can see, there is no need to worry about that.

Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. Outdoor seating includes a table behind this counter.

This is what the inside of the restaurant looks like.

There are four sofa seats and two low tables. The restaurant itself is not very big, but it is very comfortable. At this time a local group was enjoying a beer.

The walls of the store are decorated with cans and flyers of various craft beers. Many of the designs have a strong impact, and you can’t stop looking at them. You can’t help but want to take lots of pictures in the store.

Menu

First, decide on your first drink from the draft beer menu 🍺 Here is the menu. The contents seem to change depending on the day.

I was wondering what a beer with 10% alcohol by volume #8 would be like, but decided to start with #2 MIRROR POND. I didn’t want to take a risk on my first drink, lol.

You can also order a TASTING SET if you want to try a variety.

Here is the beer server.

Each beer has a sharp graphic design with impact. I like this kind of thing myself 😊.

This is MIRROR POND, a PALE ALE in the U.S.A.

Isn’t the beer foam that swells up like Ayers Rock the best? Blissful time is upon us 😀

Drinking beer in a cool restaurant is great, but drinking beer in the hot and humid outdoors of Singapore is also great. The taste is enhanced.

Then I want something to go with my beer, so I order from the food menu.

I ordered this one because the most popular is the CRISPY SKIN ROAST PORK at the top of the list.

Very thick pork. The outside is fried until crispy and the inside is juicy. How can this not go well with beer? And it’s not half bad either!

I personally liked that it was served on paper plates like those served at food stalls. It matches very well with the atmosphere of drinking beer outdoors.

For my second beer, I decided to choose from the canned beers in the restaurant.

There is a lineup of beer cans with cool designs.

I asked the store owner which one was the most popular and he recommended this beer.” It is an American beer called “Stone Hazy IPA.

At 6.7% alcohol by volume, it is a little higher than most beers. IPAs have a strong impression of a heavy flavor, but this beer is very refreshing to drink. It has a citrus aroma and a fruity taste. I have not had many IPAs like this one, and I liked it.

But the design of this can has a great impact! Cool!

Price

  • MIRROR POND $16
  • STONE HAZY IPA $11.9
  • CRISPY SKIN ROAST PORK $15

This is about the price you would expect to pay for a craft beer. Of course, the price varies depending on the beer, but the cheapest draft starts at $9, so I think the prices are reasonable.

Summary

This is the perfect place for a quick and tasty craft beer.It is located in a less crowded area, so you can have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere.

It is open from 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, so it is perfect for when you want to have a lunchtime drink.

I would definitely revisit and try different beers. Now I want to try a beer with 10% alcohol lol 🍺.

Just looking at the design is enjoyable, so even those who don’t drink that much beer will enjoy it. Of course, it goes without saying for beer lovers!

You can also purchase beer from the store’s website, so if you are interested, please take a look at the link below!
